A Free Ride With Pay
As this article shows, there are fringe benefits and there are fringe benefits. Google is well known for having a very expansive set of benefits but this was one I was not aware of. I think of all the mornings spent fighting traffic and the elements and I really wonder how much less stressful my day would have been had I not had to deal with it. Google’s Meals - A detailed account of what Google serves. Keep in mind, Google picks up the tab on these.
Based on all the great food they have available, it’s also a good thing they have exercise facilities available on-site. I get the impression that as great as these perks are, it tends to blur the lines between work and home. Good for business but not so for the people who work there. Still, it would be hard to pass up on these items.
