Pass On The Passport

Ever since the governement decided to make passports a mandatory thing for all border crossings, the backlog on applications has been horrendous. This article might provide some clue as to why. Leave it to the Federal governement to require something and then not adequately prepare for the the increase involved. Considering the number of people I see on the bridges to Canada from here, did they really think that people weren’t going to bother? It’s not like everyone is going to stop crossing the border. The government’s dealing with contractors is very poor. The Iraq war and this situation illustrate the point very clearly.
